Q: What is the fund about?
A: The sole purpose of the fund is to expose phenomenal talent to the public. Artists from any and all genres are encouraged to submit for consideration and an opportunity to be one of the 5 chosen acts. Please be aware that this is not a contest. The artists chosen will be those determined by BandRadio to have best potential of success and longevity. (Submission information is at the bottom of this page)

Q: How long will the ad page be displayed?
A: The ad itself will be displayed for 2 years on BandRadio.com and 5 years on IndieMusicFund.com. Ads are sold in minimum blocks of 10 x 10 (100 pixels) at a cost of $.50 per pixel ($50). Recognition for support will also be provided in connection with artists/bands that are selected.

Q: When will the bands be selected?
A: Once 200,000 pixels are sold BandRadio will select the first artist/band, the second at 40000 and so on until 5 have been selected.

Q: What kind of bands can submit?
A: Artists from all genres are welcome in the submission process.

Q: Will you just give money to the bands?
A: No. Each band or artist will sign a contract with Aaronde Entertainment outlining funding for recording, touring, promotion and other expenses. We will work with the acts to develop a marketing and promotional plan. We will work with the chosen artist and fund proceeds will not be awarded as a prize. This is an opportunity to create a career or at least get a boost.

Q: Why can't I buy one single pixel?
A: Buying a single pixel isn’t practical since it is so small. You cannot display anything meaningful in one pixel - nor click it easily - so visually, it would be pointless. You can get together with 10 other people and buy a 10 x 10 block.

Q: Is this for real?
A: Absolutely! BandRadio has been providing resources and support to independent artists since 1998. Through our radio station and cd compilations we promote artists to the world and music industry to help them in their careers. We thought this would be a great way for others to get involved in a grass roots support of music while getting the benefit of advertisement all the while. Q: What happens if the fund doesn't reach its milestones?
A: At least one band will be chosen to fund a project. If the fund doesn't reach further milestones no further bands will be chosen..

Q: I am and artist/band. How do I submit?

Why the $2 charge? It takes time and expense to review material. It is much easier and cost effective for everyone involved if submissions are done online. It is easier to review and notify you. Can you imagine a pile of 1000 cds? We have one now and it takes up a lot of room! If you are not a member you can sign-up to submit and get a 3 month trial account for only $9.95. You really cannot beat that due to the cost of materials and mailing. Try it and you'll be glad you did.
